INGREDIENTS

For the batter:

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 cups all purpose flour

  • 6 tbsp butter, softened
  • ¾ cup heavy cream
  • 4 eggs

  • 1 ½ cups sugar
  • 1 ½ cups sliced almonds
  • ¾ cup butter, melted
