Cuisine American
- 1.5 lbs ground beef
- 0.5 cup bread crumbs
- 2 eggs
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- salt & pepper to taste
- 2-3 slices ham
- 0.75 cup garlic & herb cream cheese
- 3-4 slices Gouda or Swiss cheese
- 3 eggs
Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease a 9 x 5-inch loaf pan with butter and swirl some bread crumbs around the inside of the pan so they stick to the butter.
Combine the ground beef, bread crumbs, eggs, onion, salt, and pepper, and transfer the meatloaf mixture to the greased loaf pan. Press a tall glass into the loaf pan horizontally to create an indent in the center.
Line the indent with the ham slices. Cover the ham with the garlic & herb cream cheese. Cover the cream cheese with the cheese slices. Crack 3 eggs over the cheese.
Transfer the loaf pan to the oven and cook for 60 minutes.
