Ingredients

  • 12 oz flour
  • 2 oz sugar
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 5 g active dry yeast
  • 5 fl oz lukewarm milk
  • 2 oz soft butter
  • 1 tsp tomato paste
  • 1 egg
  • 1 red food coloring
  • 1 green food coloring
  • 1 raisins

Instructions

  • Mix the flour, sugar, salt, and yeast in a large bowl and pour the milk on top. Then add the butter, tomato paste, and egg and start mixing everything with your hands. Remove about ⅔ of the dough and dye it red. Take ⅔ of the remaining dough and dye it green. Leave the rest of the dough plain. Smooth out the dough in each bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and leave in a warm place. Add the raisins to the red dough and mix in. Then knead all the dough balls one more time.
  • Roll the red dough out into an elongated shape. Take the yeast dough, roll it out into a square, place the red dough log inside, and then roll it up. Finally, roll the green dough into a square, place the double roll log inside, and roll the entire thing up.
  • Place the dough in a loaf pan and bake at 350°F for 30 minutes. If some spots begin to brown too quickly, cover the top of the pan with aluminum foil.
